Groundwater resources of Germany by aquifer type, extent and productivityThe groundwater resources of Germany, classified according to the Standard Legend for Hydrogeological Maps (SLHyM). Some 40 % of Germany has porous aquifers, partly with high yields. About 21 % is made of fractured and karst aquifers.
